Jonc doucine

Between archaeology and design, Jonc doucine is a collaboration with the last hand metal spinning workshop in Paris Edmond Allain & Successeurs about techniques and know-how on the verge of disappearing. Metal spinning consists of forming a metal disc over an existing shape, the mandrel.

Through the design and production of pieces, I explore joining' process of spun workpieces. Jonc doucine proposes objects without function, a technical and aesthetic register that inventories and opens up these know-how to new interpretations.
